Now available, a quite remarkable Rolex Day-Date 36 reference 128235 in Everose gold, fitted with the now-discontinued factory turquoise stone diamond dial.

Stone dials have long occupied a particularly special place within the history of the Day-Date. The extraordinary onyx, lapis lazuli, malachite and other hardstone dials produced during the 1970s and 1980s have become amongst the most desirable configurations of their respective eras, and this turquoise dial feels like a wonderful modern continuation of that tradition. Cut from natural stone, no two dials can ever be quite the same, with this particular example displaying a beautiful natural matrix across an incredibly vivid turquoise surface. The diamond-set Roman numerals add another layer of detail, remaining surprisingly subtle against such an extraordinary backdrop.

At 36mm, there is also something wonderfully traditional about the proportions. It wears much like the great Day-Dates of the past, whilst benefiting from everything one would expect from a modern Rolex. Paired with the warmth of the Everose gold case and President bracelet, the turquoise creates an unusual but incredibly beautiful contrast.

This 2025 example comes to us in exceptional, unpolished condition, showing little signs of wear, and remains fully complete with its entirety of accessories from new. Importantly, this includes its original white serialised tag, confirming the watch was delivered from the factory with this exceptionally rare dial configuration. With the turquoise stone dial now discontinued, this is a particularly special configuration of the modern Day-Date.
