Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Mini
67076BC
£59,950
Now available, an extraordinarily rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Mini reference 67076BC in white gold.
When Audemars Piguet set out to create the smallest Royal Oak ever produced, it entrusted the project to designer Emmanuel Gueit, tasked with distilling Gérald Genta's iconic design into a watch measuring just 20mm across. The result remains the smallest Royal Oak ever made - a remarkable 3mm smaller than the modern Royal Oak Mini references that have recently taken the collecting world by storm. Introduced as the non-gem-set reference 67075 alongside the diamond-set 67076 seen here, these remarkable little watches possess a vintage charm and genuine scarcity that, in our opinion, place them amongst the most desirable miniature Royal Oaks ever produced. Wonderfully, the crown itself serves almost entirely as an aesthetic continuation of the case, with time-setting instead achieved via a discreet pusher hidden within it.
Crafted in white gold, the bezel is factory-set with a single row of brilliant-cut diamonds, while the dial itself mirrors the Royal Oak's iconic octagonal form through a beautifully executed diamond-set inner chapter. Framed by an outer ring of pale blue mother-of-pearl and surrounding a central section of pristine white mother-of-pearl, the composition is completed by Roman numerals and brilliant-cut diamond hour markers, resulting in one of the most intricate and captivating Mini Royal Oak dials we have ever seen. Beneath, the beautifully constructed bracelet - manufactured by Gay Frères, as denoted by its clasp hallmarks - remains full length and retains wonderfully crisp definition, while deep hallmarks throughout the caseback and clasp speak volumes about the care this watch has received. Aside from the faintest hairline within the central mother-of-pearl section, invisible to the naked eye and entirely typical of the material, the watch presents in almost astonishing overall condition.
Freshly returned from a manufacturer service and accompanied by its beautiful original wooden presentation box, this has been one of the references we have spent years hoping to uncover. It has exceeded every expectation. Tiny in size yet enormous in character, ingenuity and rarity, this is quite simply one of the most exciting Royal Oaks we have had the pleasure of offering over the past four years. The watch is available for viewing in London and purchase worldwide. Please get in touch for further information.
