Now available, an extraordinary and possibly unique Corum pendant watch from the 1970s, a remarkable fusion of fine jewellery, traditional watchmaking and wearable art.

Created in 18ct yellow gold, the rectangle case is framed by brilliant-cut diamonds and flanked by rich lapis lazuli panels, while a flawless mother-of-pearl dial sits at its centre with the most minimalist of handsets. Hidden within is a mechanical, hand-wound movement - a wonderfully unexpected detail in a jewel that so easily could have been quartz. Suspended from a beautifully matched 14ct yellow gold chain, this is far more than a pendant; it is a fully fledged mechanical watch disguised as a piece of jewellery.

Perhaps our favourite detail, however, lies on the reverse. Engraved simply "J. De. Brauwer, Meerbeke, 18.12.79", the watch was almost certainly presented as a gift in December 1979, adding another chapter to its story. Nearly half a century later, it survives as beautifully as the day it was given, the engraving serving as a quiet reminder that the finest objects are often those made to mark life's most meaningful moments.
