Produced during an era where Rolex sports references still retained much of their utilitarian DNA despite their precious metal construction, the reference 16758 perfectly bridges vintage charm with unmistakable 1980s excess.

The standout feature of this particular example is unquestionably its extraordinary tropical “nipple” dial, which over the decades has developed a deep, richly patinated bronze-brown appearance giving the watch immense warmth and character. No two tropical dials age alike, and here the effect is especially dramatic - transforming what was once a standard brown dial into something entirely unique. Combined with the matching brown bezel insert and warm yellow gold case, the overall aesthetic is nothing short of spectacular.
