One of modern Patek’s most technically fascinating creations, and quietly one of the most overlooked. The 5520P pairs dual time functionality with a mechanical alarm complication - powered entirely by traditional watchmaking, no electronics in sight.

Housed in a substantial platinum case (complete with the discreet diamond set into the flank, as Patek tradition dictates), this reference features two crowns and two pushers: one set for local and home time, the other for the alarm mechanism. Unlike a traditional minute repeater with twin gongs, the 5520P employs a single chime that resonates through the caseback - giving it a beautifully restrained, almost minimalist acoustic signature. Think of it as a repeater’s cousin: all mechanical theatre, just distilled down to one pure note.

Originally launched in platinum, this configuration has since been discontinued, making the 5520P-001 the only way to experience the model in its most classical form. The bold Arabic numerals, luminous syringe hands, and aviation-inspired layout give it real presence on the wrist, while the in-house calibre AL 30-660 S C FUS delivers alarm, travel time, and date - all finished to Patek’s uncompromising standards.
