Now available, an Audemars Piguet Bamboo in yellow gold, featuring a gorgeous diamond-set dial.

Produced during the 1970s and 1980s, the Bamboo line is one of AP’s most distinctive jewellery-watch creations, with its signature bracelet design echoing the segmented structure of bamboo stalks. Entirely crafted in solid gold, the integrated bracelet and case create a seamless piece of wearable jewellery, while the slim, octagonal-shaped case gives the watch an elegant presence on the wrist.

Unlike many of the Bamboo models produced with quartz movements, this particular example houses a mechanical, hand-wound calibre. The choice of a traditional movement not only adds to its collectability, but also speaks to Audemars Piguet’s commitment to watchmaking artistry even within its jewellery-focused creations. For collectors, it is this rare marriage of mechanical pedigree and bold design that makes the watch so compelling.

This particular example pairs its intricate yellow-gold construction with a matching champagne dial set with diamond hour markers and “AP” motif, enhancing both sparkle and sophistication. Like many of Audemars Piguet’s designs of this era, the Bamboo blends avant-garde shapes with artisanal hand-finishing, making it both a period piece and a timeless statement of style.

Offered in exceptional overall condition and complete with a beautifully preserved sizeable bracelet, this is a rare chance to acquire one of Audemars Piguet’s most interesting designs outside of the Royal Oak lineage. The watch is available for viewing in London and purchase worldwide. Please get in touch for further information.
