Now available, a rarely seen and limited edition Patek Philippe Calatrava “Hausmann & Co” reference 5000F in rose gold.

Produced in 1994 in a limited run of just 100 pieces to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Italian retailer Hausmann & Co. of Rome (founded in 1794), this little-known variant is one of the more unusual executions of the already uncommon reference 5000. Cased in warm rose gold and featuring a beautifully restrained cream dial with applied Breguet numerals, Breguet hands, and subsidiary seconds at 4 o’clock, the watch perfectly captures the understated elegance that defines the Calatrava line. Turn the watch over and the commemorative engraving - “1794 - Roma - 1994 Hausmann & Co.” - marks its special origin.

While most Patek Philippe references end with a letter denoting the case metal (R for rose gold, J for yellow gold, G for white gold etc.), this example is stamped 5000F, a designation believed to have been used specifically for this Hausmann edition, and one that we are still researching the meaning behind.

This particular example is in exceptional overall condition, and albeit offered as a watch-only, it will be accompanied by its Extract from the Archives from Patek Philippe, confirming its production and provenance, which has been already been applied for.
