Launched in 2017 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Patek Philippe’s Aquanaut range, there is little not to love about reference 5168G. Initially launched in the blue colour showcased here, followed suit by its khaki green counterpart back in 2019, its the “001” variant of the reference which remains to be both our favourite, and the actual “Anniversary Aquanaut”. A size up from ref. 5167 at 42.2mm, and also cased in precious metal, this solid white gold Aquanaut flies somewhat under the radar, with really only those in the know realising what an important watch it really is.
