Now available, a beautifully preserved Audemars Piguet Royal Oak "Mini" reference 6007BA in yellow gold, featuring an exceptionally rare factory "lemon" diamond dial.

Whilst today's Royal Oak Mini measures 23mm, this earlier reference was produced at a wonderfully wearable 26mm, giving it a noticeably greater presence on the wrist whilst retaining all the elegance that makes these smaller Royal Oaks so charming. Far more than simply a ladies' watch, references such as this have become increasingly appreciated by collectors looking for beautifully proportioned, understated Royal Oaks that wear every bit as well today as they did almost forty years ago.

The real talking point, however, is the dial. Finished in a rich champagne tone that collectors affectionately refer to as "lemon", it is a refreshing departure from the petite tapisserie dials so closely associated with the Royal Oak. Set with factory diamond hour markers and carrying the desirable early "Swiss" signature at 6 o'clock, rather than the later "Swiss Made" seen on many replacement service dials, it possesses a warmth and simplicity that perfectly complement the yellow gold case. Dating to circa 1989, this beautiful example has recently returned from an Audemars Piguet manufacturer service completed in May 2026, receiving an updated calibre, partial service, water-resistance assurance and a sympathetic factory refinishing of both the case and bracelet. Since returning, the watch has remained unworn.

Equally impressive is its overall preservation. The bracelet retains its full complement of links, stands beautifully with very little stretch, while the hallmarks and engravings remain deep and crisp throughout. Offered as a watch only, accompanied by its recent Audemars Piguet service paperwork and service card, this is a wonderfully elegant and increasingly unusual Royal Oak Mini that demonstrates just how diverse and fascinating the early references could be.
