Now available, a remarkably rare Patek Philippe Gondolo reference 4987G-010, created to commemorate the first anniversary of the Patek Philippe Salon at Tiffany & Co. in New York.

Produced in 2009 as a limited edition of just 100 pieces, the reference was offered exclusively in white gold, with half featuring the striking black guilloché dial seen here and the remaining fifty produced with a silver-white guilloché dial. Each watch was hand-set with brilliant-cut diamonds in the Patek Philippe workshops in Geneva before being delivered exclusively through the Tiffany & Co. Salon, making it one of the more unusual and collectible modern limited editions produced by the manufacture.

The dial is undoubtedly the star of the show. Beneath the oversized Breguet numerals lies a beautifully executed sunburst guilloché pattern that catches the light from every angle, while the discreet Tiffany & Co. signature serves as a reminder of the unique partnership this reference celebrates. Framed by a delicately diamond-set tonneau case, it perfectly balances elegance with the unmistakable Art Deco influence that has long defined the Gondolo collection.

This particular example has seen remarkably little wear throughout its life, presenting in exceptional overall condition with only the lightest of hairlines to the caseback. It is offered as a true full set, complete with its original unsigned Certificate of Origin, special limited edition certificate, original purchase receipt, swing tag and the entirety of its accessories from new. Completely unknown to us until it arrived on our desk, this has been one of those wonderful reminders that Patek Philippe continues to surprise even the most seasoned collectors. Beautifully made, genuinely scarce and with a story unlike almost any other modern Gondolo, it is a watch we suspect many enthusiasts have never even had the opportunity to encounter.
