Now available, an exceptionally rare and truly remarkable Rolex Day-Date reference 1803 in 18k rose gold, fitted with one of the most unusual and beautiful dial and bracelet combinations we’ve ever encountered.

Featuring a perfectly matching pink dial with alternating diamond and baton hour markers, this example stands out even amongst the rarest Day-Dates. The dial’s distinctive layout - with round-cut diamonds positioned at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 o’clock - is scarcely seen on any configuration of the model, and paired with a pink dial and rose gold case, it achieves a level of balance and extravagance that feels utterly singular. The dial is flawless, entirely free of marks, with only a few lume plots now missing - typical for a well-preserved example of this age.

Fitted to a Rolex special-order Florentine-finished “brick” bracelet, fully signed and dated 4/63 on the clasp, the watch displays one of Rolex’s most artful and luxurious bracelet executions. The texture of the Florentine finish plays beautifully against the warmth of the rose gold, catching light with a soft, shimmering grain. The bracelet remains unsized (though fully sizeable), and in exceptional condition - a remarkable survival from a period where few were ordered, and fewer still remain in such fine state.

It’s worth noting that the 1803 was very seldom produced in rose gold at all. By comparison, a search of the global market today shows roughly 600 examples for sale in yellow gold, 90 in white gold, and just 30 in rose - underscoring how little left the factory in this metal, let alone how few were paired with such a distinctive dial and bracelet combination.
